A MESSAGE TO THE CONGOLESE PEOPLE

OUR FUTURE MUST BE WRITTEN BY US.

To the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo: this is our country, our dignity, and our future.

We must stand together, peacefully and courageously, to defend our rights. We must reject corruption, violence, exploitation, and every system that silences the Congolese people. Freedom will not be handed to us; it will be built through unity, truth, civic action, and accountable leadership.

I call on every Congolese person at home and throughout the diaspora, especially our young people and women, to take their place in shaping the nation. Let us organize, speak with courage, protect one another, and demand institutions that serve the people.

Our struggle is not against one another. It is a shared commitment to a peaceful, democratic, sovereign, and prosperous Congo where every citizen can live with dignity and opportunity.

Dr. Justin B. Mudekereza brings together medical training, scholarship, humanitarian service, and decades of civic advocacy. His work is grounded in a conviction that lasting change must place Congolese lives, voices, and dignity at the center.

He initiated Free DR Congo as a people-powered platform to educate, mobilize, and unite citizens around peaceful democratic reform, human rights, accountable government, and responsible stewardship of the country's resources.
